Thame Taxi

When going on a business trip, the travellor is best able to perform his responsibilities and reach his goals when every detail is in place for him, from taxi service to relaxation measures. He deserves to sit back and take in a little sight-seeing on the way to his hotel. Thames has plenty of luxury hotels to choose from. Grovefield House, a four star hotel on seven acres has a “country house grandeur” and is a taxi ride from London. It offers conference facilities, a relaxing lounge, and a new cocktail bar. For a spa hotel, the Novotel Reading Centre is a four star facility that offers a leisure club with a pool, sauna, steam room, and gym. It features an eight room conference suite and broadband internet. For a quiet retreat, there is the Taplow House Hotel. Beautiful grounds adorn this four star hotel, and is complete with a conference center.

While in Thames, the travellor can treat himself to some of their fine restaurants. Everything is a taxi ride away. The Mia Capri, a family owned Italian restaurant, offers classic pasta and rice dishes with a gourmet twist. The Pollo Mediterraneo is a nice example of the culinary art of this establishment. A nice steak dish is the Entreotle Ai Funghi, sirloin with an onion, red wine, mushroom, and tomato sauce. Featured on the fish menu is Brazilian Mia Capri, a whole sea bass oven baked in a white wine, herb, cherry tomato, and black olive sauce. The Cotswold Restaurant, located in The Vines offers gourmet steak, pork chop, lamb, duck and fishes dishe accompanied by sides of chips and mushrooms.

For the travellor who has time, a riverboat ride down the Thames River is a wonderful treat. This arrangement can be made by going to the website Pub quiz, a big favorite in the U.K., is easy to come by in Thames. On Tuesday at 9pm, the Woburn Arms has your game. On Thursday at 8pm, it’s The Anglers. The Old Plough is there with its Quiz night on Friday at 7pm, and on Sunday at 8:30 pm, get your fix at The Griffin.
